I’m Arturo, a passionate creative director with plenty of experience in the production industry.

I have years of experience researching, designing and writing treatments for top advertising directors and also for myself along my film director career. From long form documentaries to visually striking fashion films; dramatic shorts to big TVCs - you name it and I’ll have a good story to tell.

I'm currently the Head of Creative at HERO films London, where I led a big rebrand of the company - previously called Rich Power Films - creating a new website, developing our tone of voice and adding a cool director roster to the company. I'm also in charge of all the treatments and creative supervision assisting directors and clients.

Although I come from a latin paradise called Brazil, my life right now is divided between Barcelona and London, but I'm very interested in relocating to California (I've lived in San Diego before coming to Europe). My work in film production took me to locations like Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Beirut, New York…so I have plenty of experience working with international clients and agencies - also in that so-important “infinite time-zone”;-)

I’ve worked on treatments for big clients (Pepsi, Dell, Lexus, Vogue, Swarovski, among others) and with top international directors like Gonzalo Oliveró, Alex Orlowski, Ernest Desumbila, Armando Bó ; and all the good agencies you can think of;-)

It would be thrilling to be able to bring more and better projects to Chrome.

OVERVIEW

Thank you very much for the opportunity to contribute some concepts to Unico's manifesto. When talking about personal identity and its use in technology, themes that are so present nowadays, the text gives rise to a set of very beautiful images, but which run the risk of getting lost in a very wide universe of scenes.

My proposal here is to align these archival images with a visual thread: we are going to give these situations an aesthetic unity and create identification with Unico's branding, giving extra strength to the claim and creating a film that also presents itself as "unique". It's a starting point that I'm willing to delve into together with the agency - and take advantage of all the know-how that only Tátil has ;-)

When an important luxury car brand wanted to portray their sponsorship of lifestyle-rich events like golf and sailing, the main idea was to shoot 3 mini-docs to show Lexus' presence in these events. What we developed - direct-to-brand - from this initial pitch was a full TVC-style film combining all the brand's values into a classy, action-filled story aimed to materialize people's dreams.

This new beauty brand recently entered the UK market with the aim to shake up the skincare industry with skin confidence at the top of their philosophy. My team helped them to develop a series of TVC ads using the brand's real users as the main talent.  From finding the right director to handing out a vintage digital camera to the girls, we created a very honest, true to brand, skin-empowerment series.

SKIN + ME

When you have the best football players in the world and all the budget that you can ask for, the stakes are higher: on this Qatar World Cup campaign the goal was to come up with 'the iconic World Cup film' of the season. Adding the curveball that the talent could not be at the same place at the same time;-) I was called to be part of a creative team that dug into the top visual pop references, studied the do's and dont's of the Arab culture, delved into all world cup ads of TV history to create this  top-of-mind film full of life.
