Book: The Limit

This scene describes the part of the story where Matt's Mom goes over the government approved spending limit. While checking out her groceries, the cashier tells mom that she's gone over the limit. She immediately says, “take it back. Delete it from my account". The cashier says that she was locked out until the government approves it. Mom immediately takes the kids and drives back and forth from the golf club and the office trying to find Matt's dad, so he can solve this. However, dad is unable to fix the situation and Matt is taken to a workhouse.

Scene 1: Matt's Mom going over government approved spending limit 

This scene shows Matt (at the workhouse) wondering why the kid next door keeps getting seizures. He hears Crab woman say, “it was easier when they just got headaches”.  Later on, when he moves to the top floor, he realizes that one of the girls, Neela (Indian princess) also was getting similar headaches and had to take medicine for it.

Scene 2: Matt wondering about everyone's headaches

Matt learns that Lauren is on the 3rd floor by hacking into the workhouses’ computer/database. He sets the smoke detector off so he can escape and talk to Lauren. When he sees her, he realizes that she is also having headaches. When Honey Lady sets up a day for Lauren and Matt to talk, Lauren also has a seizure. Matt gets very worried and becomes determined to learn the factory’s secrets and expose them.

Scene 3: Matt realizing his sister is in the workhouse too 

This photo explains the first step of the plan. Matt and Paige set off the smoke detector (again) as a distraction. After that they run down to the 4th floor for the next part of their plan. This is a distraction for the guard, so he knows that they're awake just in case Matt's ankle cuff doesn't alert him. They then run to the steps, the rec room and finally the TV room. By doing so, they try to get the guard to catch them so that Jeffery can hack into the workhouse database without anyone catching or paying attention to him (this happens at 1:40 am).

Scene 4: Matt and Paige trying to distract the guards

This picture shows Matt’s first real attempt to escape. After he escapes the workhouse, he runs home to tell his parents about what's happening at the workhouse. When Matt reaches home and learns that his parents had gone over the new limit (which is why Lauren too was sent to the workhouse), he confronts them. Honey lady and gorilla man come back to pick up Matt. He becomes very eager to find out the workhouse's secrets.

Scene 5: Matt trying to escape the workhouse

Once the plan decided by Matt, Paige, Jeffery, and Coop is done, they go back to their rooms and agree to take a look in the morning at Jeffrey's finds. In the morning they all huddle around the laptop and open files. They find out that the work that they do is actually reprogramming their brains which explains the headaches and Brock's. That's how they find out the truth.

Scene 6: Everyone finding out the truth about the workhouse

When Matt and Honey Lady are done talking him escaping, she erases the files that Jeffery hacks into. Matt thinks that all hope is lost until he remembers that he had an extra copy of all the warehouses’ secrets, the drive!! When he sees a girl on the first floor, Jessica, he gives the drive to her and tells her that when she goes to a different workhouse, try to use the info from the drive to expose the truth. When Honey lady brings Matt back to the top floor, he feels hopeful that the little girl might get the information out.

Scene 7: Matt asking Jessica to get the flash drive out 

Scene 8: Matt, Paige, Coop, and Jeffery being taken hostage by Crab Woman

Isaac (another kid with Matt) gestures everyone to his room and shows that the S.W.AT team has arrived. Coop, Matt, Paige and Jeffery hear a loud clicking noise in the hallway. They see Crab woman at the end of the hallway with a gun in her hand. She gestures with the gun to go inside the elevator. They head into the basement. Crab Woman tells them to sit on the floor since they were going to be there for a while. They hear Kent Kearsley's (Journalist) voice from Crab Woman's laptop. Paige distracts her and Jeffery, Coop and Matt lurch at her, bring her to the ground and tie her with an extension cord. Paige punches in the code and then forces Crab Woman's eyes open to unlock the door. Whoosh, they were free!!!

Scene 9: Honey Lady and the agents talking

When they escape from Crab woman and being held hostage, they immediately shout that they were the ones that made the flash-drive. But it seems that Honey Lady had already sweet-talked the S.W.A.T agents onto her side. Once they expose Honey Lady they looke around for her but don't find her. Jeffery realizes that the keys to his personal mini copter were gone! They sprint to the roof where Honey Lady is trying to get to the mini copter. Eventually the agents catch her and arrest her.

After Honey Lady was arrested, they finally get to go home! Paige’s parents come and she is finally reunited with them. She gives Coop, Jeffery and Matt a hug. When Matt was at home he wonders how soon Paige's email will come. Everyone is so happy it was like this entire thing didn't even happen!
